THERAPY
Psychotherapy is a structured but collaborative process that helps people navigate emotional, behavioural, and relationship difficulties affecting their lives. Therapy begins with an assessment, where we develop a shared understanding of your experiences, concerns, and goals. From there, we work together to build insight, process difficult thoughts and emotions, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful and lasting change. For children, therapy usually includes a combination of sessions with the child and their caregivers.
My therapeutic style is warm, reflective, affirming, and strengths-based. I tailor my approach to each person’s unique personality, needs, and circumstances. Grounded in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, my work also integrates evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Collaborative and Proactive Solutions. I draw further on principles from the neurodiversity paradigm, developmental psychology, interpersonal neurobiology, and attachment theory.
